Prof. Sandra Christiansen, United States of AmericaPresenter of 'Relationship Between Time to On-Demand Treatment and Quality of Life During Hereditary Angioedema Attacks'
Sandra Christiansen is a Professor of Medicine at the University of California San Diego (UCSD). Dr. Christiansen played a key role in founding the US HAEA Angioedema Center at UCSD where she serves as the Director of Translational Research and member of the Medical Advisory Board. Dr. Christiansen has partnered with the US HAEA patient organization since its inception and was instrumental in developing their Scientific Registry and Biorepository.

Dr. Christiansen’s research interests focus upon the clinical and scientific aspects of HAE, the pathophysiology of allergic airway disease, its epidemiology and efforts targeted at upgrading care for underserved socioeconomically disadvantaged populations. Throughout her career Dr. Christiansen has been devoted to mentorship and teaching, recognized by the 2008 American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (AAAAI) Outstanding Volunteer Faculty Award. Dr. Christiansen’s expertise is well-known in the field of allergy and angioedema honored by her selection for the AAAAI Distinguished Clinician Award in 2022.

Dr. Christiansen is extensively published, having authored over 100 articles, reviews and book chapters.

Marc Riedl, MD, MS, is Professor of Medicine and Clinical Director of the US HAEA Angioedema Center at the University of California – San Diego (UCSD) where he also serves as Clinical Service Chief for Allergy-Immunology.

He received his medical degree from the University of Chicago –Pritzker School of Medicine, completed Internal Medicine residency at Barnes-Jewish Hospital of Washington University, and Clinical Immunology and Allergy fellowship at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

Dr. Riedl received a Master of Science degree in Clinical Research from UCLA and holds board certifications in Allergy- Immunology and Clinical Pharmacology. Dr. Riedl serves on numerous editorial boards and scientific committees, as well as appointed expert panels for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and National Institutes of Health (NlH). He directs an active clinical research program at UCSD focused on angioedema and immunodeficiency conditions.

Dr. Rafael H. Zaragoza-Urdaz, Puerto Rico, USAPresenter of 'Long-Term Effectiveness and Safety of Lanadelumab Treatment for Hereditary Angioedema in Patients From Puerto Rico: Data From the EMPOWER Study'
Rafael H. Zaragoza-Urdaz is an allergist-immunologist. He received his medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine and his doctorate from the University of Colorado. Dr. Zaragoza-Urdaz has expertise in treating asthma, among other conditions, and has been in practice for over 30 years.

Dr. Zaragoza-Urdaz has authored over 60 peer-reviewed publications and presented widely to colleagues and patients in America and Europe. He was named among the Distinguished Physicians of Puerto Rico in 2004 and has received the Doctor’s Choice Awards for Immunology thirteen times.

Dr. Zaragoza-Urdaz currently works at the Centro de Asma, Alergia e Immunogía, Hato Rey, Puerto Rico, and Alergimmuno RHZU LLC, San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Dr. Karla Robles-Velasco, EcuadorPresenter of 'Screening Sleep Disorders in Hereditary Angioedema: A Comprehensive Cross-Sectional Study'
Karla Robles-Velasco is Medical Resident of Allergy and Immunology at Respiralab Center for Management of Pulmonology, Immunology, Allergic and Sleep Disorders Diseases, Guayaquil, Ecuador. Dr. Robles-Velasco is also Senior Researcher at Espiritu Santo University, Ecuador.

She is a European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACI) Junior Member, from June 2023 to December 2031, and a Sociedad Ecuatoriana de Alergia, Asma e Inmunología Capitulo Centro Sur Occidental (SEAAICSO), January 2023 to present.

Dr. Robles-Velasco is Coordinator of 5 research projects in the UCARE, ACARE, and ADCARE networks. She has more than 30 publications and research Collaborations in Allergy, Immunology and Healthcare.

Prof. William R. Lumry, United States of AmericaPresenter of 'Understanding Patient Reasons Not To Treat All Hereditary Angioedema (HAE) Attacks And Characteristics Of Untreated HAE Attacks: Results From A Real World Survey'
William R. Lumry is a board-certified Internist and Allergist. Dr. Lumry is in private practice in Dallas, Texas treating adults and children with allergic diseases and asthma. He is a Clinical Professor of Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas and teaches at Parkland Memorial and Presbyterian Hospitals in Dallas.

Dr. Lumry received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, completed his internal medicine training at Washington University in St. Louis, and received his clinical and research fellowship in allergy and immunology from Scripps Clinic in La Jolla, California.
